Elon Musk announced: Tesla products can be purchased with Dogecoin
The richest person in the world, Elon Musk, announced that Tesla's products can be purchased with the cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE). After the announcement, Dogecoin increased by 25 percent.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said in a statement on his official twitter address that Tesla products can be purchased with Dogecoin (DOGE).
After Musk's announcement, DOGE increased by 25 percent from 0.1595 to 0.1997.
Musk, the richest person in the world, said the other day that buying something with Dogecoin is better than Bitcoin.
Musk said last October that he invested in Dogecoin along with Bitcoin and Ethereum.
'DOGECOIN MORE SUITABLE FOR TRANSACTIONS'
While Musk says that Dogecoin has an advantage over Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, he jokingly sees the cryptocurrency as the best trading cryptocurrency.
After being named the 2021 Person of the Year for Time magazine, Musk said, “Basically, Bitcoin is not a good alternative to the transactional currency,” and said, “Although it was created as a silly joke, Dogecoin is more suitable for transactions.”
