Messaging application WhatsApp has launched its new pilot feature, which allows crypto money transfer within the application, to a limited number of users in the USA.
Cryptocurrency transfer within the application is handled by Novi, the digital wallet developer of Meta's parent company of Facebook and WhatsApp.
According to BBC Turkish, Novi's manager, Stephane Kasriel, announced the news. WhatsApp manager Will Cathcart also wrote on Twitter that Novi will help people transfer cryptocurrencies instantly, securely and for free.
Cryptocurrency transfer within the app will be made with Pax Dollars (USDP), a cryptocurrency pegged to one US dollar.
According to the information on Novi's website, the money transfer feature will work just like sending photos, locations and documents.
