Here Are Other Crypto Assets Invested By American Bitcoin Investors
Grayscale noted that Bitcoin (BTC) remains the most popular cryptocurrency in the US, but BTC investors are also investing in other digital assets.
Grayscale conducted a research with 1000 Bitcoin (BTC) investors from the USA for the third year in a row. He stated that the most popular altcoin among BTC holders is the leading smart contract platform Ethereum (ETH), according to the firm.
He says that 44% of Bitcoin investors invest in ETH. Ethereum is followed by Dogecoin (DOGE), which is also the first meme coin with 44% of BTC holders.
“According to the firm’s results, Bitcoin (BTC) investors are also exposed and investing in different cryptoassets instead of investing in just one crypto-asset (87% of investors who own BTC in a proportional perspective).
Among the most popular altcoins owned are DeFi [decentralized finance] and NFT [immutable token] projects.”
The report also shows that 26% of BTC holders own Litecoin (LTC), making it the third most popular altcoin on the list. LTC is followed by Cardano (ADA). 15% of Bitcoin investors participating in the research stated that they have ADA.
