Gates pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic offers great flexibility for those who want to work remotely and has revolutionized the workplace. Gates believes that these changes will increasingly continue in the coming years.
Gates also thinks that in the next two to three years, most office meetings will be hosted by the metaverse. Stating that people will use their "avatars" to meet people in a virtual room, Gates also stated that virtual reality headsets and glasses should be worn to do this.
Gates said he also finds it very exciting to think about how increasing digitalization will affect our work, learning and even our visits to doctor's appointments.
